NEW ORLEANS, LA  [Tuesday Mar.21.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Next month, the Sundance Channel will air a special on the making of R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe's Hurricane Katrina benefit EP.

Titled "In The Sun," the short film takes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the EP and features interviews with Stipe, Chris Martin of Coldplay, and former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha.

Released in February, the "In The Sun" EP features six cover versions of singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur's song of the same name. Proceeds from the sales of the EP benefit victims of the Gulf Coast disaster.
