At a secret Fall Out Boy gig last Friday (March 3) in New York, Pete Wentz took a dive off a balcony during the band's set.

Now that may seem like a typical rock-star move but, the trouble was, nobody caught Wentz and he hit the floor below -- hard.

MTV.com reports that Fall Out Boy was playing a secret show at the Knitting Factory under the name "Saved Latin." The sold-out gig was going great until the very end of the set, when Wentz decided to take a leap off one of the club's balconies. Unfortunately, the audience didn't really catch him, so Wentz ended up crash-landing on the concrete floor.

Wentz survived the accident and is now doing okay, though he did miss the afterparty following the show.

The secret New York concert was a warm-up for Fall Out Boy's upcoming "Black Clouds and Underdogs Tour," which kicks off next week. The band is touring in support of its latest album "From Under The Cork Tree."
