INDIO, CA  [Thursday Mar.2.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Next month, Madonna will be doing something she's never done before -- performing at a festival.

The singer has signed on to make her festival debut at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California. Madonna and her band will play the Sahara dance tent on April 30th.

"I've never performed at a festival," Madonna said in a press release. "I'm especially excited about playing at Coachella before I start my own tour."

Madonna is the latest artist to join the two-day festival's star-studded line-up, which includes headliners Depeche Mode and Tool, Franz Ferdinand, Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, Common, Massive Attack, Daft Punk, Sigur Ros, James Blunt, Sleater-Kinney, Matisyahu, She Wants Revenge, the Subways, Bloc Party, Scissor Sisters, and many more.
