LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Feb.23.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Red Hot Chili Peppers may be hitting the road with Kanye West later this year.

According to MTV.com, the funk-rock band are in talks with West for a US arena tour to run from late August through the winter. The Chili Peppers have a new double album coming out on May 9th called "Stadium Arcadium."

Chili Peppers bassist Flea told MTV that nothing was definite yet but that he's hoping West will join the band on tour.

"I think we'll be doing some legs with Kanye, but I don't know if that's confirmed yet or not," Flea said. "I think we're going to do a month or two with him. I think it's going to happen, and I hope it happens. He's a great artist...."
