U2, Mary J. Blige added to Grammy performance lineup.
LOS ANGELES, CA [Wednesday Jan.25.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- The performance lineup for the 48th Annual Grammy Awards continues to grow, with several unique pairings just announced.
According to Grammy.com, U2 and R&B singer Mary J. Blige will perform together, and country stars Keith Urban and Faith Hill are also planning a collaboration for Music's Biggest Night. In addition, Christina Aguilera is teaming up with Herbie Hancock for an intimate performance. And, as previously announced, Jamie Foxx will be joining Kanye West for a song.
Other performers include Mariah Carey and John Legend.
Several presenters were also announced, including country duo Big & Rich, two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks, and actor Terrence Howard.
Additional performers and presenters will be announced soon.
The Grammy Awards takes place on Wednesday, February 8th, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. CBS will broadcast the show in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). The Grammy Awards will also be supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide, and covered online at
