Kelly Clarkson
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Jan.20.2006]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Kelly Clarkson and "American Idol" fans can relax -- Kelly Clarkson has agreed to let the popular television show use her songs.

Clarkson, whose career was launched after winning the first season of "American Idol," gave the okay for the show to use her music on Wednesday afternoon, reports MTV.com.

"Kelly Clarkson was happy to hear her song 'Since U Been Gone' on 'American Idol' last night," said her spokesperson in a statement issued Wednesday. "As far as she is concerned, there is no conflict between her and the TV show. She intended all along to license additional material to the show and will do so when asked and within reason."
