Foo Fighters drummer to release solo album in March.
LOS ANGELES, CA [Tuesday Jan.10.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- In a couple months, Taylor Hawkins will be Foo-less.
The Foo Fighters drummer plans to release his first solo album -- called "Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders" -- on March 6th.
"It's supposed to be a sort of warts-and-all record," Hawkins told MTV.com. He adds that the album sounds "sort of raw" and has a classic rock vibe. Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders' influences include artists like the Police, Devo and Queen.
Along with Hawkins, who sings and plays drums, the Coattail Riders consist of guitarist Gannin and Jane's Addiction bassist Chris Chaney.
Taylor Hawkins and the Coattail Riders hope to play some club dates squeezed between Foo Fighter gigs, so keep an eye out for them in your town.
