Weezer members stay active in time off from band.
LOS ANGELES, CA [Friday Jan.6.2006] /Mix103FM.com/ -- After spending a good part of 2005 touring behind the album "Make Believe," Weezer is taking a break.
But don't expect the band members to lay low during their time off.
"Everyone is planning on writing music," states a message posted on Weezer's official web site. In fact, the posting continues, "A good deal of songs have been already created while the band was still on tour this fall."
Drummer Pat Wilson will be working on music in the new home studio he's building. And Pat and guitarist Brian Bell plan to record a cover version of The Velvet Underground song "Heroin" to appear on the forthcoming film soundtrack for "Factory Girl."
While Pat and Brian are making music, Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo will hit the books, as he heads back to Harvard in the Spring to finish up his degree. He's expected to be in school until June.
