LONDON, UK [Thursday Dec.29.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- British trio Keane is busy working on the follow-up to the group's breakthrough debut, "Hopes and Fears."
According to the band's official UK web site, Keane is recording its second album at Heliocentric Studios in England. Among the new songs Kenane is currently working on is a rocker called "Crystal Ball" and a lullaby called "The Night Sky." Other new tunes include "Try Again" and "Atlantic."
No official release date has been announced yet for the new Keane album, but it looks like fans will get to hear new music from the band in 2006.
In other news, Keane was honored with a Grammy nomination earlier this month for Best New Artist. Keane will compete with Fall Out Boy, Ciara, John Legend and SugarLand for the award. Winners will be announced February 8th during the 48th Annual Grammy Awards live telecast on CBS.
