NEW YORK, NY  [Friday Dec.23.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Black Eyed Peas are among the artists making some noise to help human rights organization Amnesty International.

The "Make Some Noise" venture from Amnesty International features exclusive covers of John Lennon songs by today's popular artists. Lennon's widow Yoko Ono gave Amnesty International the recording rights to "Imagine" and the entire John Lennon solo songbook to help inspire others to stand up for human rights.

The Black Eyed Peas offer a hip-hop version of "Power to the People," which the group recorded while aboard the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. The track is available for download at www.Amnesty.org/noise for $0.99, with the proceeds going to Amnesty International. There are also exclusive tracks from Maroon 5, the Cure, Snow Patrol and Postal Service.

"Music speaks the language of freedom, revolution and solidarity," said Yoko Ono in a statement. "Without that freedom – without music that is angry, joyful and necessary – we are nothing."
