Grammy Pop Nominees Announced
Jack Johnson, Kelly Clarkson, Gwen Stefani among nominees.

NEW YORK, NY  [Friday Dec.9.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The "Pop" nominees for the 48th annual Grammy Awards represent an eclectic group of artists that not only cross genres, but also generations.

The artists up for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals include Black Eyed Peas and Jack Johnson for "Gone Going"; Foo Fighters and Norah Jones for "Virginia Moon"; the Gorillaz featuring De La Soul for "Feel Good Inc."; Herbie Hancock featuring Christina Aguilera for "A Song For You"; and Stevie Wonder featuring India.Arie for "A Time To Love."

The Black Eyed Peas also earned a nomination for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal for their song "Don't Lie." They face competition in this category from the Killers, Los Lonely Boys, Maroon 5 and the White Stripes.

Jack Johnson earned his own nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Sitting, Waiting, Wishing." Other nominees include Paul McCartney for "Fine Line," Seal for "Walk On By," Rob Thomas for "Lonely No More," and Stevie Wonder for "From The Bottom Of My Heart."

The nominees for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance include Mariah Carey for "It's Like That," Kelly Clarkson for "Since U Been Gone," Sheryl Crow for "Good Is Good," Bonnie Raitt for "I Will Not Be Broken," and Gwen Stefani for "Hollaback Girl."

Best Pop Vocal Album nominations include Fiona Apple's "Extraordinary Machine," Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway," Sheryl Crow's "Wildflower," Paul McCartney's "Chaos And Creation In The Backyard," and Gwen Stefani's "Love. Angel. Music. Baby."

Finally, in the category of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album, the contenders include Tony Bennett, Michael Buble, Johnny Mathis, Carly Simon and Rod Stewart.
