Madonna Song Banned In Belgium
'Frozen' banned after Madonna loses plagiarism case.

by Krista Desens

Madonna
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM  [Friday Nov.25.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Madonna fans in Belgium will no longer be able to hear her hit "Frozen" on the radio or watch the video on television.

That's because Madonna recently lost a plagiarism case in that country.

RollingStone.com reports that Belgian songwriter Salvatore Acquaviva filed a suit against Madonna, claiming she plagiarized parts of his song "Ma Vie Fout L'camp (My Life's Getting Nowhere)," for her hit single "Frozen."

"Frozen" appears on Madonna's 1998 album, "Ray of Light."

A judge ruled in favor of Acquaviva, who wrote his song in 1993. As part of the ruling, "Frozen" has been banned from sale and broadcast in Belgium.
