NEW YORK, NY  [Friday Nov.4.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Earlier this week, mtvU announced the winners of its annual Woodie Awards, with Death Cab For Cutie, Gorillaz, Fall Out Boy, and My Chemical Romance each taking home a prize.

The second annual mtvU Woodie Awards took place Wednesday night (November 2) at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. The awards were decided by college students around the United States, who cast their votes online at mtvU.com.

Death Cab For Cutie was honored for Best Live-Action video for its "Title & Registration" clip, while the Gorillaz earning the Woodie for Best Animated Video for "Feel Good, Inc." The Best Tour honor went to Fall Out Boy, and Artist of the Year was claimed by My Chemical Romance.

Other Woodie winners included Green Day, Motion City Soundtrack, Muse, mewithoutYou, the Afters and U2.

Along with the award presentations, the night featured live performances from artists such as Lou Reed, the Go! Team, Matisyahu and Saul Williams, Little Brother, and Death Cab For Cutie.

The Woodies debut online November 9th on mtvU Über at mtvU.com, and the show will air November 10th at US college campuses on mtvU.
