LONDON, UK [Thursday Oct.13.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Gorillaz and Oasis were the big winners at the 2005 Q Awards ceremony held in London earlier this week.
Each band walked away with two awards at the event, which is sponsored by the influential British music magazine "Q."
The Gorillaz's "Feel Good Inc." clip was named Best Video, while the animated band's latest album "Demon Days," received Best Producer honors ("Demon Days" was co-produced by Gorillaz and Danger Mouse).
Oasis also scored twice, taking home Best Album for the band's latest CD "Don't Believe the Truth" and winning the fan-decided People's Choice Award.
Coldplay was named the Best Act In the World Today, edging out Green Day, Oasis, U2, and Muse.
Other Q Award winners included U2, Paul Weller, the Bee Gees, KT Tunstall, Jimmy Page, Nick Cave, Ray Davies, James Blunt, and Bjork.
