LISBON, PORTUGAL  [Friday Sep.30.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Some of today's hottest bands are set to perform at the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards this November.

Confirmed to play the 12th annual EMAs are the Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Robbie Williams, with more acts expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Earlier this week, Coldplay received five EMA nominations including Best Group, Best Album and Best Song. Green Day earned three nods including Best Rock Act. The Foos are also up for Best Rock Act, while the Black Eyed Peas could potentially win EMAs for Best Group and Best Pop Act. British singer Robbie Williams is also up for Best Pop Act as well as Best Male Singer.

With the exception of the Best Video award, EMA winners are determined by online fan voting.

The 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards take place November 3rd in Lisbon, Portugal.
