Voodoo Experience Moves To Memphis
Voodoo Music Experience to benefit Katrina relief efforts.

by Krista Desens

Nine Inch Nails
MEMPHIS, TN  [Friday Sep.23.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Not even Hurricane Katrina can bring down the Voodoo Music Experience.

The Big Easy's seventh annual music festival was left without a home when the devastating storm struck New Orleans earlier this month.

But with some quick thinking and hard work, organizers were able to move the Voodoo Music Experience to Memphis, Tennessee, where it's now scheduled to take place at Tom Lee Park on Saturday, October 29th and Sunday, October 30th. Proceeds from the festival will go to the New Orleans Restoration Fund (NORF) to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina.

The 2005 Voodoo Music Experience will feature performances from such notable artists as Nine Inch Nails, Foo Fighters, the Neville Brothers, Dr. John, Joss Stone, My Chemical Romance, Queens of the Stone Age, Social Distortion, the Bravery, Cake, LCD Soundsystem, Billy Idol, Digable Planets, VHS or Beta, and many more.

The festival's day-by-day performance schedule and times will be announced in October. For more information on the Voodoo Music Experience, visit www.VoodooMusicFest.com.
