MS rockers produce Katrina public service announcement.
NEW YORK, NY [Tuesday Sep.6.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- 3 Doors Down has made a public service announcement (PSA) in response to the Hurricane Katrina tragedy.
The PSA produced by 3 Doors Down provides information on how to contact various relief organizations. The video is currently available online at
www.3DoorsDown.com and
www.UniversalRecords.com.
The members of 3 Doors Down were all born, raised and live in Southern Mississippi and, like so many others, were directly affected by the hurricane and lost their homes and property. The band, which has been active in helping their community through its charity, The Better Life Foundation, is encouraging everyone to help however they can in the national relief effort.
Also, according to the band's official web site, 3 Doors Down is encouraging fans coming to see the group in concert "to bring as much canned food, soup, peanut butter, water, baby formula and diapers" to the shows. The donated items will assist in the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. The Red Cross and Salvation Army will receive the donated goods and distribute them to those affected.
