NEW YORK, NY  [Friday Aug.12.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- When Dave Matthews Band needed an actress to portray their "Dreamgirl," who better to call than their pal, Oscar-winning actress Julia Roberts?

Roberts is both a longtime fan and friend of the The Dave Matthews Band, so she was happy to appear in the video for the new single "Dreamgirl" from the group's latest album, "Stand Up."

According to RCA Records, "Dreamgirl" gets released next week and the video will premiere on VH1 on Wednesday, August 17th.

Directed by Dave Meyers, the "Dreamgirl" clip was filmed around Brooklyn and Harlem in New York City.

Julia Roberts' appearance in the "Dreamgirl" video is her first filmed role since she gave birth to twins last year.
