MIAMI, FL.  [Thursday Aug.4.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Mariah Carey and the Killers will take the stage at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards.

On Tuesday, MTV announced that the artists will perform during the show, along with other previously announced performers including Green Day, Kelly Clarkson and Kanye West.

Carey is up for two awards for her "We Belong Together" clip, while the Killers are nominated for four MTV Moonmen for "Mr. Brightside."

Carey's and the Killers' videos share something in common. Both clips include a guest appearance by actor Eric Roberts.
