NEW YORK, NY  [Monday Aug.1.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Like many songwriters, Chris Martin draws on his own life experiences when coming up with lyrics for Coldplay songs.

"Everything in my life comes up," the Coldplay frontman tells USA Weekend. "Gwyneth's in there. My friends are in there. The way I see the world is in there."

Martin sums things up, saying, "The lyrics come out and I just -- I try not to get in their way."
