MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA  [Friday Jul.29.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Killers have been tapped to headline the first stateside edition of the UK's annual Download Festival this fall.

Scheduled for October 8th, the Download Festival will take place at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California .

Along with the Killers, the concert lineup includes hot indie bands Modest Mouse, the Arcade Fire and the Doves.

MTV.com reports that H.I.M and Mindless Self Indulgence are also scheduled to perform, along with many more bands to be announced in the coming weeks.
