Backstreet Boys
NEW YORK, NY  [Thursday Jul.21.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson is teaming up with cancer research company Provectus Pharmaceuticals.

Kevin, who is an active cancer patient advocate, signed on last month to be a corporate spokesperson for Provectus, which researches and develops breakthrough technologies for cancer, psoriasis and other serious diseases.

Speaking out about cancer, especially colon cancer, has been a priority for Kevin since 1991, when he lost his father to the disease.

In 2001, Kevin and several politicians helped introduced the "Eliminate Colorectal Cancer Act" in Washington DC to promote education, early detection and treatment of colon cancer. Kevin also founded the Just Within Reach Foundation (JWRF) to provide education and promote personal responsibility for keeping the environment clean of potential cancer-causing pollutants and toxins.
