The Killers Look Forward To Live 8
For the Killers, Live 8 is a chance to help people.

by Krista Desens

The Killers
LONDON, UK  [Friday Jul.1.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Killers are looking forward to playing the Live 8 London show tomorrow, July 2.

Though the Killers don't consider themselves political, the band is glad to help raise awareness about poverty in Africa.

"We're playing because it's a way for us to get involved with the issue without getting political," singer Brandon Flowers tells MTV.com. "We're going to go up there as humans, not as the Killers."

He adds, "We want to go up and feel like we're responsible for helping people without getting all political. Once you get political, you're in a whole new area. And we're not there yet - I don't know if we ever will be."
