Green Day filming UK shows this weekend for live DVD.
MILTON KEYNES, UK [Thursday Jun.16.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- This weekend, Green Day will take the stage in front of 60,000 screaming fans at England's Milton Keynes Bowl.
The June 18 and 19 shows are the biggest that Green Day has ever played in the UK, so what better way to commemorate this punk-rock milestone than to film it?
According to NME.com, Green Day is capturing its two-night stand at the Milton Keynes Bowl for a concert DVD called "Green Day Live at Milton Keynes." But the DVD will include more than just a concert film. It will also feature fans talking about Green Day.
The production company making the movie has invited fans aged 15 and over who are going to the Milton Keynes shows to send the company a video clip or photo of themselves, saying why they love Green Day's music. Some of the submissions will be included on the DVD.
No official release date has been set for "Green Day Live at Milton Keynes," but it looks like the DVD may come out later this year.
