LOS ANGELES, CA [Tuesday May.24.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- If you had to pick a theme for Tuesday's new music releases, it might be "how to beat the sophomore slump."
Audioslave, Seether and Gorillaz all release their sophomore albums today, May 24. Audioslave presents "Out of Exile," featuring the singles "Be Yourself" and "Your Time Has Come," while Seether offers the 13-track "Karma And Effect." Cartoon-character-virtual band Gorillaz, fronted by Blur's Damon Albarn, releases "Demon Days," the follow-up to its 2001 self-titled release.
Other new albums out today are Common's "Be," Marques Houston's "Naked," the Wallflowers' "Rebel Sweetheart," Alkaline Trio's "Crimson," and Young Gunz' "Brothers From Another."
In movie music news, the Nelly-produced soundtrack to "The Longest Yard" arrives today and includes tracks by Nelly, D12 featuring Eminem, T.I., Lil Wayne, Murphy Lee, Akon, Trillville and more.
