HOLLYWOOD, CA  [Friday May.13.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Beyonce has landed the role of her dreams.

The Destiny's Child singer will star as Deena Jones in the forthcoming movie, "Dreamgirls," reports Variety. The film is an adaptation of the Tony-Award-winning musical about a female soul trio called the Dreams.

Joining Beyonce on the big screen are Usher and Oscar winner Jamie Foxx. Usher has been cast as C.C. White, a choreographer, while Foxx plays the Dreams' controlling manager, Curtis Taylor Jr.

Production on "Dreamgirls" is scheduled to start in January 2006.
