NEW YORK, NY  [Wednesday May.4.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Rob Thomas has teamed once more with guitarist Carlos Santana.

MTV.com reports that Thomas is writing songs for Santana's upcoming disc, "All That I Am." The album is scheduled for release June 21.

One of the songs Thomas is working on is a track with Big Boi from OutKast. But Thomas hasn't actually met Big Boi yet. "We just sent MP3s back and forth," says the Matchbox Twenty frontman.

Thomas also hasn't met Mary J. Blige, who sings on the track. Thomas explains, "I put the melody and lyric in there, and he got it back to me with Mary J. Blige singing, though I haven't met her either."
