OAHU, HI  [Tuesday Apr.26.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Jack Johnson loves surfing and playing music, and he'll often get together with other musician-surfers when they visit his native Hawaii.

In an interview with RollingStone.com, Johnson says that he sometimes hangs out with Eddie Vedder when the Pearl Jam frontman is visiting the area. Johnson also hangs with plenty of other musicians who love to surf including Mars Volta's Jon Theodore and Metallica's Kirk Hammett. In fact, Johnson and Vedder have been thinking of forming a jam band.

Johnson says, "We have a funny band that we've been talking about putting together. We're gonna try to jam. It's him [Eddie Vedder], Kirk [Hammett from Metallica], Jon on drums and myself. Should be fun."
