LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Apr.21.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- John Legend is among the artists helping out Linkin Park MC Mike Shinoda with his new solo-side project, "Fort Minor."

Fort Minor's first album will be called "Rising Tied" and features guest spots by Common, Black Thought from the Roots, Kenna and John Legend. Shinoda will be joined by L.A. hip-hop group Styles of Beyond on the project's first single, "Remember the Name."

"Rising Tied" is set for release in late summer.
