'Drugs or Jesus' helps youth quit drugs for Jesus.
NASHVILLE, TN [Wednesday Apr.20.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Tim McGraw's "Drugs or Jesus" is one of those songs you figure might make a difference in some people's lives. And so it has for one young man whose parent wrote in to McGraw's website.
The web entry states that their son had spent two weeks in Juvenile Hall for drugs and other problems, and while there he'd decided to straighten out his life and return to Jesus.
The parent wrote:
"The ironic thing about this whole situation, was the day he was placed in Juvenile Hall, everyone in my house was watching and waiting to see Tim's
new video for Drugs or Jesus. My son told me last night, that that song is one of the reason's he decided to change his life now."
He never really liked any other music but Rap, but lately since I have been more open about my love for Country music, especially for Tim's music, he has started listening to Country music, expecially Tim McGraw. It also helped that he was able to see Tim in the video Over & Over with Nelly, because Nelly is one of his favorite singers/rappers. He has stated that if he ever has
a chance to meet Tim, he wants to tell him Thank you for picking the song ("Drugs or Jesus") to sing..."
