No Trucker Hats for The Killers
The Killers 'always sort of conscious' about fashion.

by Krista Desens

The Killers
SAN FRANCISCO, CA  [Wednesday Apr.20.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The Killers are known almost as much for their fashionable stage attire as for their catchy music.

But drummer Ronnie Vannucci tells the Mercury News that the group never calculated its look or sound.

"There was never any type of concerted effort to dress a certain way or sing a certain way or write songs a certain way," says Vannucci. "We were always sort of conscious that it was important to have a particular fashion element to the music we were playing. I don't know how well "Jenny Was a Friend of Mine" [from the Killers' debut 'Hot Fuss'] would come out if we were all in beards and trucker hats."
