Jamie Foxx Working with 50
Jamie Foxx collaborates with 50 Cent, Slash on new album.

50 Cent
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Apr.7.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- It's certainly turning out to be a big year for Jamie Foxx. Not only did he win the Best Actor Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in "Ray," but now Foxx is busy working with 50 Cent, Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, ex-Creed singer Scott Stapp and Velvet Revolver's Slash on his forthcoming solo album.

Foxx told MTV.com, "I just got through messing with Kanye West. I got a joint with 50, it's crazy. It's gonna be nuts. And we're gonna get back to love music - young love music that old people can appreciate." And in the Foxx-50 Cent collaboration "Build You Up," Foxx says, "We're giving back to the ladies."

No release date has been set for the new album, but Foxx is tentatively calling the record "Southern Gentleman." The album is Foxx's follow-up to his 1994 release "Peep This."
