Velvet Revolver's Slash gets his trademark top hat back.
LOS ANGELES, CA [Tuesday Mar.8.2005] /Mix103FM.com/ -- The drama is over. Slash's hat is back where it belongs -- on his head.
Last month, Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash's trademark top hat disappeared from his limo at the Grammys. It was presumed stolen, and Slash appealed for its return, saying "I've worn that hat for 12 years. It's my lucky hat and I want it back."
Apparently, Slash's topper had been found earlier this month by an unidentified man, who was holding the hat hostage. BC Ethics, which partners with Slash for his T-shirt line, offered a reward for the hat's return, but the man wanted more before he gave it back. Blabbermouth.net reports that "a small reward" was given to the man, who claimed he got the hat from a transient on Hollywood Boulevard for $50.
And in case your wondering, the man in question was NOT Axl Rose.
