Blink-182 Goes on Indefinite Hiatus
Blink-182 pulls out of benefit; goes on indefinite hiatus.

by Krista Desens

Blink-182
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Feb.23.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- After pulling out of the Music for Relief: Rebuilding South Asia concert last weekend in Anaheim, California, rumors began circulating that Blink-182 had called it quits. Though the band hasn't officially split up, on Tuesday Blink-182 announced that it is going on "an indefinite hiatus."

A statement posted on Blink-182's official Web site reads, "For over a decade, Blink-182 has toured, recorded and done non-stop promotion all while trying to balance relationships with family and friends." It continues, "To that end, the band has decided to go on an indefinite hiatus to spend some time enjoying the fruits of their labors with their loved ones. While there is no set plan for the band to begin working together again, no one knows what tomorrow may bring."

Fan messages posted on Blink-182's Web site ranged from disbelief and gratitude for the band's time together, to pleas for Mark, Tom and Travis not to split up. But only time will tell what the future holds for the Blink-182.
