NEW YORK, NY  [Tuesday Feb.1.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- John Mayer makes a guest appearance on Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas' forthcoming solo debut, "Something to Be." MTV reports that Mayer plays guitar on one unnamed track on the album, which is set for release May 3.

Rob Thomas will release the song "Lonely No More" as his first single off the new record. The single is expected to reach radio outlets on Valentine's Day, February 14.
