MIAMI, FL.  [Friday Jan.14.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Green Day will soon announce dates for its upcoming US tour, set to begin April 15 in Miami, Florida. The Bay Area punkers have already secured My Chemical Romance for the supporting slot on the outing.

Green Day is hitting the road once again to help promote its latest album, "American Idiot." Bassist Mike Dirnt tells MTV.com, "American Idiot was written from a live perspective. It has that feeling and energy throughout it. So we encourage the crowd to sing with us." He adds, "It's really exciting and a little bit scary to play it for people who have never heard the record. But we like that fear and adrenaline."
