MIAMI, FL.  [Thursday Jan.6.2005]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- The New Year usually means a fresh start, but Ashlee Simpson is still getting backlash from her infamous Saturday Night Live performance last year, when she was caught lip-syncing to a background vocal track. When Simpson took the stage to perform the song "La La" at Tuesday night's Orange Bowl game, she was loudly booed by the 72,000-strong crowd. It didn't help that there were technical problems or that Ashlee's voice gave out a couple times during the song.

When Ashlee finished the song, she was probably expecting cheers and applause. But instead, the audience booed the 20-year-old singer again, this time even louder than before. So much for a fresh start.
