Simple Plan In the Crue
Simple Plan pens Motley Crue's new single.

Simple Plan
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Wednesday Dec.22.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Simple Plan have a song for Motley Crue.

The Canadian rock band wrote the new Motley Crue single, "If I Die Tomorrow," during its recording sessions for "Still Not Getting Any...." Simple Plan drummer Chuck Comeau told RollingStone.com, "We loved the song when we wrote it. But it didn't really sound like it belonged on the album, and we had it kicking around." He adds, "It's pretty dope to be thinking that such an influential, huge band chose to work on it for their comeback."

"Still Not Get Any..." was produced by Bob Rock and, after Rock finished working on Simple Plan's latest, he started working with Motley Crue on their forthcoming greatest hits album, "Red, White and Crue."

Comeau explains how a Simple Plan song got into the Crue's hands: "Bob played them the song, and they really liked it. [Crue bassist] Nikki Sixx worked on some stuff on it, changed a few lines, then they recorded it." Sixx received a co-publishing credit on the song.
