INDIANAPOLIS, IN  [Tuesday Nov.23.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- This Thursday, November 25, John Mellencamp will play for the NFL.

The rock singer is set to perform during the Halftime Show at the November 25 Detroit Lions-Indianapolis Colts game. The football game takes place at Detroit's Ford Field and will be shown on CBS at 12:30 pm, ET.

Mellencamp just released the album, "Words & Music: John Mellencamp's Greatest Hits." When he takes the field on Thanksgiving Day, he'll perform his classic hit, "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A." and the new single, "Walk Tall." Singer, songwriter and producer Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds will accompany Mellencamp on "Walk Tall."
