Finger Eleven Explains Name
Finger Eleven says name springs from the song Thin Spirits.

by Krista Desens

Finger Eleven
BURLINGTON, ON  [Monday Nov.1.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- If you're wondering how Finger Eleven got its name, lead singer Scott Anderson can help.

On the Canadian group's Web site, he explains, "the name actually comes from an earlier version of the song "Thin spirits," off Finger Eleven's debut album, "Tip." Anderson adds, "When everything is pushing you in one direction and your instinct drives you in another--that's finger eleven."

Anderson also clears up a common misconception about the band's name. "Finger Eleven" has NOTHING to do with your d---," he says.
