LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Oct.14.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- It's one song down and about a dozen to go for Omaha's 311.

According to MTV, the band has finished one song for the next album, which is set for release sometime next spring. 311 also started writing a few more tracks for the record.

311 singer Nick Hexum told MTV, "We're going to work with David Kahne and Ron Saint Germain. David Kahne did those two new songs for the greatest-hits record and that was a great experience for me. He's such a great composer and rock and roll songwriter and player in his own right. I think it's kind of a dream team."

If you can't wait until next spring for your 311 fix, the band releases its "Live in New Orleans" DVD on October 26.
