In an interview with USA Today, Cabrera says, "When we get to see each other, it's awesome. We're together. But we're concentrating on being friends right now. We're best friends and have a great relationship."

When the newspaper asked if the pop singers were still single, Cabrera wouldn't say for sure. The "On the Way Down" singer put it like this: "Well, I'm not out looking for another girl, and she's not out looking for another guy, if that's what you mean. So it's not like we're "together" or "not together."
