MIAMI, FL.  [Monday Oct.11.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Miami just got a little hotter -- Lenny Kravitz has started his own record label.

Kravitz's new label is called "Roxie Records," after his late mother, actress Roxie Roker. Roxie Records will be based in Miami, Florida. According to his Web site, Kravitz "will assume a central A&R role, overseeing the signing and creative development of the label's roster."

Some of Roxie Records' forthcoming releases include Dan Dyer and Sarah Killer. Kravitz also produced the albums for these artists.
