Switchfoot wins Song of the Year at San Diego Music Awards.
SAN DIEGO, CA [Friday Oct.1.2004] /Mix103FM.com/ -- San Diego is not only home to Sea World and the Chargers, it's also host to the 14th annual San Diego Music Awards. And this year, homeboys Switchfoot took the prize for Song of the Year. The band's hit, "Dare You to Move," beat out tracks by Blink-182, Jason Mraz, Louis XIV, Steve Poltz and Gary Jules & Mike Andrews.
Jason Mraz nabbed the Artist of the Year award, while Blink-182 scored the Best Punk Album honor for their self-titled release.
