LOS ANGELES, CA [Friday Aug.27.2004] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Maroon 5, Madonna, Moby and REM have contributed songs for the children's benefit CD, "Mary Had a Little Amp." Proceeds from the sales of the CD benefit People For the American Way's Project Kid Smart and Start Smart America. Both projects work toward making preschool education possible for all American children.
Some of the other artists donating songs are Lou Reed, Dave Matthews, Bonnie Raitt and the Dixie Chicks. Maroon 5 performs the song "Pure Imagination" from the classic kids' movie, "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory."
