The Dido Forest
Dido and other artists plant trees to help the environment.

by Krista Desens

Dido
LONDON, UK  [Tuesday Aug.17.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Ever worry about global warming? So do Dido, Coldplay, Incubus and the Foo Fighters.

That's why they're working with a group called Future Forests to plant trees to help the environment. The trees help neutralize the global warming gas and carbon dioxide produced by everything from driving to heating your home to making CDs.

Artists like Dido, Coldplay, Incubus, Foo Fighters and the late Joe Strummer have all planted forests to help the earth. Dido, whose forest is in Mozambique, explains, "Trees are the lungs of the world, and it's our responsibility to put back what we've taken away."

If you want to get involved and dedicate a tree, visit http://www.futureforests.com. Along with making a difference and helping the environment, you'll receive a special certificate and a map of the forest site to thank you for your contribution.
