Rock The Vote Rocks Convention
Maroon 5, Black Eyed Peas rock Democratic Convention.

BOSTON, MA  [Tuesday Jul.20.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- While the Democratic National Convention is underway next week in Boston, Rock the Vote will host events in the area to register and encourage young people to get involved in the political process. Among the artists taking part are Maroon 5, The Black Eyed Peas and Gavin DeGraw. Rock the Vote will also be a visible presence when the Republican National Convention happens in New York next month.

Boston's Rock the Vote events kick off Sunday, July 25. "The Jumpoff" party features a performance by the X-Ecutioners and a DJ set by Biz Markie. Special guests include President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, Natalie Portman and Jon Stewart.

Other Rock the Vote happenings include The Black Eyed Peas and Gavin DeGraw in concert at the Avalon nightclub on Tuesday, July 27. Wednesday, July 28, Carole King is featured at Rock The Vote's "Chicks Rock, Chicks Vote" party (venue to be determined). Maroon 5 brings the festivities to a close on Thursday, July 29 for the invitation-only "Nomination Night Concert" at the Roxy.
