Maroon 5 Drummer Still Sidelined
Doctors looking for source of Ryan Dusick's arm injury.

by Krista Desens

Maroon 5
LOS ANGELES, CA  [Friday Jul.16.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- In a message posted on Maroon 5's web site this week, drummer Ryan Dusick provided fans with an update on his arm injury. Dusick was sidelined from touring with Maroon 5 in mid-May due to a hurt shoulder. Doctors ordered rest and rehab for the drummer.

Unfortunately, Dusick continues to be out of action. He writes, "I'm still unable to perform with the band at the moment. My doctors and I are still trying to find the source of my arm problems, and we have not found it as of yet." Dusick adds, "Hopefully we'll solve the problem soon, but for now, I miss you all a lot, and I can't wait to get back out there and play!"

Taking over drum duties for Dusick at the moment is Matt Flynn, who has played with the B-52s and Gavin DeGraw.

Meanwhile, fans can hear Dusick sing on Maroon 5's EP, "1.22.03 Acoustic." The band covers the AC/DC rock classic, "Highway to Hell," and Dusick handles vocals while frontman Adam Levine plays drums.
