LOS ANGELES, CA  [Thursday Jul.8.2004]  /Mix103FM.com/ -- Hoobastank gets in the game--the video game, that is. The band's song "Same Direction" is featured on the next edition of Madden NFL 2005. Electronic Arts recently announced the soundtrack for the latest edition of the popular video game, which features over 20 songs consisting of Top-40 hits, tracks by up-and-coming artists and exclusive remixes. Along with Hoobastank's song, players will hear Green Day's as-yet-unreleased single, "American Idiot." The song is from the band's upcoming album of the same name. The Madden NFL 2005 soundtrack will also include singles from Franz Ferdinand, The Hives, The Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am, Ozomatli and New Found Glory, among others.

Madden NFL 2005 is set for release on August 12 for Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and Game Boy Advance versions. PlayStation and PC versions hit stores in September.
