HOLLYWOOD, CA [Tuesday Jul.6.2004] /Mix103FM.com/ -- Avril Lavigne a princess? Maybe not, but the pop rocker sings a new song for "The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" soundtrack, due August 10. Other artists contributing new tracks to the Disney movie's soundtrack include guitarist Adam Levy featuring Norah Jones, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Lindsay Lohan, among others.
The soundtrack also features Julie Andrews' long-awaited return to singing on "Your Crowning Glory." In 1997, the film music legend's four-octave voice was irreparably damaged during an operation to remove non-cancerous nodules from her throat. Andrews sings with co-star Anne Hathaway and Raven on the track.
"The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement" hits theaters August 11.
